A brief chronicle of my new life in Michigan, focusing on the fact that I live in a converted factory loft building with several hundered other "young professionals." Yeah, it's a yuppie dorm.

Pictures from Mackinac Island

Well, I'm back from my northland adventure; below are three pictures from the Mackinac Island portion of the trip. The first two are from a twilight walk I took with my Dad the evening we were there - it was really misty, and it made everything a bit eerie. Combine that with the carriages and bicycles, and pervasive smell of horse dung, and it made a rather odd place even odder.

The third pic is a view from Fort Mackinac; this was earlier in the day, when it was all bright and sunny.

Off to the Northlands

My parents are here, and we're off to explore the northern reaches of my new state: Traverse City, Mackinac Island, and the eastern bit of the Upper Peninsula. So - no blogging for a few days, but hopefully lots of nice pictures when I get back!
